HEAD COACH

Coach Tully is coming off his inaugural season as Head Coach of the Red River Spartans. In his first season with the team, Coach Tully led the Spartans to a 36-7-1 record. The Spartans finished the 2023-2024 season second in the USPHL in goals against and fourth in goals for, ultimately helping the organization achieve its first playoff series victory and USPHL National Championship tournament berth. Tully pursued coaching after a professional playing career and has a passion for developing and advancing players to the next step in their hockey career.

ASSISTANT COACH AND GOALTENDING COACH

Coach Beech has been part of the Red River Spartans organization as an assistant coach and goalie coach since the inaugural 2022-2023 season. Coach Beech has been coaching goaltenders for over 15 years. Most of that time spent with professional goaltenders. As a player, Beech was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2005 NHL Draft after playing four seasons, including setting the franchise career wins record for the Sudbury Wolves. Coach Beech’s playing career was also highlighted by being named 2009 CHL Goalie of the Year. Coach Beech advanced his career and played professionally for 14 seasons and spent his career playing in the AHL and Europe.

ASSISTANT COACH / STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH

Coach Bartecko played more than 21 years of professional hockey and brings a wealth of knowledge to the Red River Spartans organization. Lubos played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, 7 years in the NHL, and 14 years in Europe. The Slovakian native joined the Slovakian National Team on many occasions, including three Olympics and multiple world championships.
